Curious if any of our Arizona members (Tucson area) have gone to "The Hub"

I want to have an indoor range alternative and surprisingly there are a huge number of them considering. The one that sounds intriguing is "The Hub" a smaller two lane range in a gun store, combo pawn shop, combo Milo simulator as well.

They even rent full auto as well as many others in the "try before you buy" type environment. The Milo simulator sounds fun as well. Curious is anyone has been and what you thought.

Driven by it but never been inside.

I avoid indoor ranges like the plague, besides all the normal reasons. My ears aren’t in the best shape and I certainly don’t need any more lead exposure.

But only being two lanes makes it seem better, I’d imagine you have to get a reservation pretty far in advance.

Yeah I thought the same. Have been in email contact with one of the owners and have to say he’s been great. I mentioned we wanted to surprise my Son on his birthday and have him do the full auto rental then shoot our other weapons and he said no problem let me know how we can help.

Good vibe so far but proof will be in the final outcome.

Hope it works out for you and your boy, they seem to have a good reputation and appear very knowledgeable.

Great folks to deal with, made reservations for Saturday along with renting the full auto for my Son’s surprise birthday present. So far dealing with them has been a great experience but I’ll update after Saturday.

I tried to find it once, but couldn't. It's in that weird area where Alvernon changes into something else.

I wanted to stop by when I was looking for an ffl for an NFA transfer. They got good reviews. Now I wish I had looked harder for them, because the ffl I did choose turned out to be a pain in the ***.

A place I've had good luck with is Marksman, I think it was called, on 29th. They had an Uzi and a Beretta. They might be closed now. What did you pick out for your kid?

Sounds like you need a silencer or four.

                True.

Marksmen on 29th have new ownership now, can?t remember what it?s called. Another one I?ve driven passed but not been inside. That?s a real crappy part of Tucson.

That's too bad, it used to be okay. I had friends that lived about 6 blocks north. It was a nice area back then.

It’s called 520 Tactical now, looks like a good size in door range. $20 range fee, $15 MIl, LE or Vet. I believe they also have Full auto rentals, but not sure. Looks like they allow AR’s too.

                    Here’s the link.

Wow, they were pistol only before. Apparently they made huge upgrades.

                      From a review:

The upgrades they?ve made are spectacular! Completely renovated, brand new high end ventilation system, excellent lighting and major upgrades to the range and backstop.
I should take all my AR's there to sight them in.

This is now the finest indoor range in Tucson!
It already was for decades. It was also the ONLY indoor range in Tucson. When they opened in the mid-80's we thought they were crazy to build an indoor range when desert shooting was free and much more flexible. After the state's population doubled, there are too damm many houses on our old desert ranges.

Have reservations for Saturday at The Hub and the only thing they don't allow is either steel core ammo, armor piercing, green tip or steel case. Otherwise pretty much any handgun/rifle caliber.

20.00 for a lane with 5.00 a piece for extra people up to three. I need to check on military discount and or memberships as well.

We have reservations for the full auto MP5 rental for my Son to shoot (a surprise) for his birthday and he is bringing his Desert Eagle 50 as well. Other then that we're just going to be shooting our edc's and a couple of Glock 30's.

I will definitely check out 520 Tactical as well thanks for that tip.

Great people at the facility, small but got the job done. Rented a full auto MP5 for my Son's BD he had fun, shot his Desert Eagle that was literally a blast. Will definitely be back but will also check out 520 Tactical.

There's a gunshop/indoor range in Scottsdale that used to rent an MG-42. Bring lotsa money.
