Idahoans support Ammon or hate Ammon?

I just received this email, and IMO, the guy is one of very few people stand on principle.
I could be wrong and have not "studied" about the bundy's.
I believe he is being railroaded

You would be right in that he is beong railroaded. We followed the baby Cyrus story from the beginning. The attention brought to the matter by Mr. Bundy and other protestors forced the hand of CPS and local medical "professionals" and the case went away magically. The fact that there was a gag order on the parties involved kind of speaks to the motivations of the powers that be. Hopefully the new AG steps up and issues some "guidance" to the local prosecutor. Unfortunately, Ada county is a one of the blue islands in a sea of red in Idaho.
I've said it before here in response to those who would question his resolve. The fact the man was arrested in the state capitol, and carried out handcuffed to his chair, makes him the kind of man I want representing my interests. Not some pantywaist, milquetoast politician whose ideals change with the direction of the wind, and the amount of lobbying and government funds thrown their way. Brad Little is a scumbag enough that he basically co-opted Bundy's campaign slogan of "Keep Idaho, Idaho". He was one of the first governors in the nation to institute lockdowns, bended the knee for federal ARPA funds, and as a result got a mother arrested in Boise for taking her 5 year old to the park during the covid lockdowns. It was funny, but one of the first yard signs i saw up here in the panhandle when we moved here in 2020 was a "Recall Brad Little" sign.

I voted for Ammon and would do so again.

The problem, is so called "Republicans" here in Idaho are weak kneed. Afraid to be called names so they join the RINO's like Little.

Ammon's a nut case, Little is electable, blah blah blah.

Hanko, looking at you. You get to wear that action by CPS.

Ada county is not a "blue area of Idaho." In fact, it got even more red in 2022 - since the midterms, every elected Ada county official is a Republican. Blaine, Latah, and Teton were the only counties to vote for Biden in the 2020 presidential election.

I also voted for Ammon Bundy. Most of the folks I talked too also voted for him, so it was sad to see him not win. The case against him is a bunch of BS. I hope he can run for office again in the future.

Bundy got 17.19% of the vote, less than the democrat candidate.
So less than 1 in 5 Idahoans supported him.

                Ada County voted overwhelmingly Republican.
you must have mistaken it for Blaine County on the google maps.

Strakill, I voted for someone electable. Ammon was obviously not electable, and that was obvious once he threw his hat in the ring.

I voted for Bundy as well. The Idaho Republicans don't even do much research on the RINO candidates they vote for. My theory is that they've never had to worry about Cali type leaders so they just go with the status quo. Hanko voting for Little because he's "electable" is hilarious. Why not try and make Idaho even better?

The percentage of Republican voters has increased every year we've been in Idaho...around 21 years or so. Why would I be making Idaho "even better" by voting for a loser that was removed from the Capitol fastened to a chair???

All the while, Brad Little accepts ARPA funds and other federal monies with strings attached. Many Idahoans do not want this money, nor do they want the strings that come with it. His actions during the scamdemic were enough to make me a non-believer.
As for the election stats shown above by another poster, that is showing stats for one precinct in Ada County. which does not jive with the 17% stated. By sheer numbers, Idaho is still solidly red. However, there are precincts in Ada, Blaine, and Latah counties which are trending to blue. k

Northeast Boise is heavily populated, with a very engaged electorate. They like to think they're in 1960's Berkeley. They've voted blue for years. They have an outsized influence on city politics, but that may change with redistricting. During the 2022 midterms, Eastern Boise swayed the Ada County election to Arkoosh and Manweiller. However, Republicans gained complete control over every elected Ada County office, including the county commissioners.

Here's a link to detailed midterm 2022 results from Ada County:

Here is my own analysis done on the governor's race between 2018 and 2022. I looked at the state overall, Ada County and Kootenai. So in theory I'm covering to big counties that represent the north and south as well as the state overall. You'll see my numbers in term of ratios as I think it paints a better picture.

2018 ratio: For every one D vote, there were 1.565 R votes.
2022 ratio: For every one D vote, there were 2.981 R votes. (doesn't include Bundy)

If my math is right, then for sure, statewide it seems to be more red. And that's not taking into account that Bundy got a bunch of votes. If he had not (and those had gone R), ratio would be even higher (3.826).

                            Now for Ada only:

2018: For every one D vote, there were 0.978 R votes. (Brad Little lost Ada)
2022: For every one D vote, there were 1.96 R votes.

If my math and thinking/logic here are right, then for sure ratio has improved greatly towards R. Effectively doubled in 4 years. Could there be other factors here...absolutely. But I'm not familiar enough to comment. So I guess it's true (at least based on this data only) that Idaho has become more red...even Ada. And that doubling in Ada matches the state ratio.

Appreciate any feedback here on the logic / math.

Just for fun let's look at Kootenai:

2018: For every one D vote, there were 2.166 R votes.
2022: For every one D vote, there were 4.118 R votes. (Again if Bundy wasn't running, it would be higher)
