Favorite rifle can mount/system?

With modern cans having screw-on mounts on the rear, we're no longer stuck with the proprietary mount system primarily used by our can manufacturer. Like my .30 cans are YHM, and I like their mounts if new and everything is working as they're supposed to. However, I hear they can get worn and don't lock up so well, plus the muzzle devices are kind of ugly.

The Keymo system from Dead Air is very popular and the flash hiders look great, as well as have a taper mounting system. But I don't know anyone with one and have not looked at one in the flesh. Plus, the mount is freaking 200 bucks! It better be a dang good system for that much.

So the question is, what's your favorite rifle can mount/system? If it's direct thread you can say so. I'm not especially looking for fast on-off, I'm looking for something that stays on until I decide to take it off.

Keymo is great but the price and weight.
The xeno set up looks better for weight

I like the simplicity of the surefire, and I did see a company that can modify a can to use it, but it would cost wise, add up quickly

Yeah, if I can't easily buy a mount, it's too much hassle. Plus I would imagine anything Surefire is going to be $$$.

The Cherry Bomb is not appealing at all. I don't want a muzzle brake on anything. My biggest recoiling rifle is a .30-06. I'd rather get a little punch in the shoulder than have my ears and face blasted.

That's also one of the nice things about YHM's QD - you just twist it until it won't go any more. Have you run into the problem of not being able to tighten them all the way?

My actual carbine length PCC doesn't need a silencer, since 9mm will go supersonic out of a carbine anyway. Tri-lug is universal, everyone manufactures to HK's spec. I get the cheap Kaw Valley adapters, they work as well as any.

I'm cheap so I just do direct thread. I have a dozen cans from different manufacturers plus home made ones that are non serviceable.

New crush washers are cheap. Takes little effort to remove and install a muzzle device. If I'm really lazy I just toss a protector on.

They don't unscrew themselves at all? I don't want to have to keep checking if one is unscrewing itself.

Running the SilencerCo ASR on multiple calibers/rifles/PCC. Quick attatch/detach and a very positive locking system. Some folks on the interwebs have complained about them, but no issues here whatsoever for 3+ years and thousands of rounds. The threads on the Rugged Obsidian are the same, so added a mount for that too.

I have a DA Sandman, so I have Keymo. I like it and it's gonna always work. The weight doesn't bother me much. I'm currently working on a form 1 LMT piston SBR, which is already front heavy. What's a few more ounces?

For PCC, can't beat 3 lug. Just too easy, especially since I only have one 9mm can for 3 hosts.

I saw the new SIG QD on video. It looked good with a slim muzzle devise and their traditional tapers. But I don't think you can buy the mount separately. I don't want to pay 4 figures for their can either.

They will unscrew themselves. I always wear gloves since my guns get hot even without cans. I check the can after each mag. After a few mags a lower quality can will spin off about 1/2 turn. I've had cans almost completely spun off to the point I stopped because I could feel it wiggling. No damage to can.
A bad barrel threading is more common a problem with strikes.

I standardized with KeyMo system. Just because I started off with it and have bought enough accessories and adapters for it. Back when I started, there were few other QD systems available, mainly the Surefire and SilencerCo ASR. I also have an ASR system on a can that audiophil2 sold me before, but I took it off and changed it with KeyMo.

It is heavy, but it works. And when you look around the web, quite a few aftermarket muzzle device manufacturers are adopting KeyMo as opposed to the other QD systems.
