    Gun trader AZ

So looking to buy a gun off of this site. Yes I know it's face to face no PPT. The prices I see as compared to CA seem just too low to be true. Colt Gold Cups around $800 or less Sig P226's for around $500- $600 are these prices legit? What precautions to take when buying?

During COVID a lot of guns were straw purchased or used in crimes.
Best you can do is buy from someone with a AZ drivers license and cwp.
Could just be bad economy making it a buyers market before Christmas season.

If you have AZ drivers license flash it and make them flash theirs... or not. Show up with cash and inspect. If you like it shake hands and walk back into bar to discuss religion, politics, and guns. Your not in commiefornia so leave that male bovine excrement at the border next to your motorcycle helmet.

I've used GunsArizona.com. I required the buyer to allow me to take a pic of their DL for my records.

I was figuring on a picture of both liscences together and providing the seller a copy.

When selling, I require a valid Az drivers license (minimum) and ask if they are prohibited. After the transaction, I write down the name and town of the buyer.

When buying, I expect to show my Az license, but will not allow a pic. I clarify this up front and if a seller wants more I never set up a meet.

Meet in a public place to do the transaction, and many people do it in Police Station Parking lots. Anyone doing anything shady will probably not want to show up there.

Do you guys go to the same lengths when you buy and sell a chainsaw or a lawn mower? Follow your state laws but going above and beyond?

If felons were prohibited from buying chainsaws or lawnmowers, yes.

While I haven't sold anything or PPT anything yet I have seen most people selling prefer to sell to someone with a CCW.

Never used that site, some of the pricing screams scam, I’ve used others with good results. I haven’t sold here, but I’ve done 4 PPT’s. Everyone in a gas station parking lot off the freeway. All said they would need to see my DL, but after our communication(always tell them I’m a retired peace officer and will show them that ID also) and meet up, I've yet to show it. No way would I let someone take a pic of it my ID. If they want to do a bill of sale I’m fine with that.

Does the AZ DL have info on it that the driver is a felon? Are you an expert in spotting fake IDs? What's next a complete resume so you can deny his purchase because he threw a rock at a cat in 6th grade?

Give/take the $ and be done with it. A bad guy has other sources for guns at prices far below retail.

So far two flakes. Both wanted money in advance. Never gonna happen. One listed in Gilbert actually in Flastaff. Other listed in AZ city in Payson.

An AZ CCW exempts AZ residents from the NICS BG check, so as good as using a FFL.
