Just asking because I have now lived in two different non-Commiefornia sates and have experienced a vast difference in the time it takes to actually receive your carry permit.
In Nevada, you take the required course, submit your paperwork and then you wait. My first permit took 90 days from the time I turned in the paperwork and the renewal five years later took 118 days. My friends still there are telling me that some people have been waiting since February for their license to be issued.
Tennessee is a constitutional carry state, but I wanted their enhanced carry permit as it is good in 40 states and I travel quite a bit. You can pretty much guess which socialist paradises' it's not good for, but those are states I avoid anyway. So, I went in on a Saturday for the course, went to the Department of Safety (DMV) on Monday and had the appointment to get fingerprinted on Tuesday. 10 days later I got it in the mail.
I'm just curious how long it takes in other jurisdictions.

It took the Idaho State Patrol over 90 days to complete my background check on renewal of my Enhanced Idaho permit.
