How long did it take to get your CCW?

Just asking because I have now lived in two different non-Commiefornia sates and have experienced a vast difference in the time it takes to actually receive your carry permit.

In Nevada, you take the required course, submit your paperwork and then you wait. My first permit took 90 days from the time I turned in the paperwork and the renewal five years later took 118 days. My friends still there are telling me that some people have been waiting since February for their license to be issued.

Tennessee is a constitutional carry state, but I wanted their enhanced carry permit as it is good in 40 states and I travel quite a bit. You can pretty much guess which socialist paradises' it's not good for, but those are states I avoid anyway. So, I went in on a Saturday for the course, went to the Department of Safety (DMV) on Monday and had the appointment to get fingerprinted on Tuesday. 10 days later I got it in the mail.

I'm just curious how long it takes in other jurisdictions.

Last renew in Oregon - 22 hours! Called for an appointment at noon, got appointment for 9am the following day and walked out with permit in hand at 10am. It took the Idaho State Patrol over 90 days to complete my background check on renewal of my Enhanced Idaho permit.

UT enhanced permit took 28 days. By law, it must be issued within 60 days.

I renewed my Idaho enhanced card on a Tuesday, got the renewal on the following Wednesday. Knowing the sheriff and his wife, and my wife riding horses with sheriff's wife couldn't have hurt.

Placer Co. CA, took about 40 days, but could have gone faster if I had moved faster on my end (class/live scan). Modified permit took a day, plus mail time for a total of 4 days.

The problem wasn't the local sheriff but the time it took the Idaho State Police to complete the background check and from what I understand this is a statewide problem.

Texas, a little over 4 years ago.

After starting the online application process, I took a one day class and shooting test. Submitted digital fingerprints. Got my LTC card in the mail. All in 10 days.

Application was $40. Class was $50, fingerprint service was $10.

New application in Arizona took almost 90 working days. It was what was posted on wait time on the website. Some got it quicker some not.
