Getting settled in.

Finally getting settled in to the new place. That is I have time to start reloading. Going through the 70 plus ammo cans and finding stuff I have been wondering where it went.

Spent the last 3 days prepping brass. Arms getting tired.

I’m in the middle of priming 4000 9mm shell casings. My right arm is starting to look like Quagmire.

Finding misplaced or lost stuff is fun. When I moved I only had about 60 of the 50 cal ammo cans. I decided to go through all of them and mark them so I know what's in them. I found all kinds of ammo I didn't know I had. It was like Christmas.

Did some tidying up of the man cave. Then of course I just had to start separating through the buckets if mixed brass. The cave is a disaster again. Baggies of brass everywhere. Some I do not even have a firearm for. But hey I have a lot more 45 colt than I thought I had.

When I moved out of my home of 33 years, I found all kinds of .22 bricks stacked here and there in various nooks and crannies. Turns out, I'm pretty much set for life with .22 RF ammo. Apparently I had been buying it and stashing it for quite a while, with no real idea of my inventory status.

That was a nice thing to discover.

I've discovered stuff that we had packed away and hidden two years after we moved. Kind of like Christmas. Since then I have done a spreadsheet of my inventory and another for all the weapons and accessories.

It took up some time but being lazy and enjoying the desert has been very cathartic after dealing with what we used to. An inventory will surprise you when it's done. You'll think "when did I buy that?"

That was a nice thing to discover.

As for 22LR I stacked deep knowing the ammo.laws were changing in CA. Think in excess of 30K

Well I finally pressed some lead this week. 100-357 and 32-30-06 for the Garand. T h e 32 were work. Swaging unifying and debuting the flash holes. Anealing, sizing, turning the necks then finally loading up with 150'gr and 44.2g of Varget. Plan on testing them out next week. Before loading up more.

I'm looking forward to moving in a couple of years almost as much as I'm dreading moving.

Going to thin out the accumulated stuff first if I can.

Going to send about three hundred bottles of wine to auction. Moved that stuff once already. Nothing like moving thousands of pounds of glass......
