    Free Suppressor

When I bought my Octane 45 suppressor last December, SilencerCo had a buy-one-get-one free deal going. So, I got a Warlock 22 suppressor in that deal for free and it finally showed up at my FFL dealer the other day. I went to my FFL dealer this morning and we filled out the E-Form 4 for it and submitted it. Now I mark the date on my calendar and wait.

I'm still waiting on my first eForm 4 from March...I'm really hoping the tax stamp comes before my grandson gets here for a visit on Monday...

Yes I did. I am finally taking it out for a try this Friday. I will report how it works.

I have one also. I thought it was great on a Glock 21. It seemed to work well on a 9mm PCC except the long barrel turned my subsonic ammo into supersonic. It worked very poorly on my Blackout. I don't know if it was because of the 3 lug I used, or because .30 is a lot smaller than .45. I own a direct thread coupler but I can't find it. I should be able to use my piston, but I haven't tried it yet.

I have an older Glock 21 Gen 2 I was thinking of getting a threaded barrel for. I would love to shoot my Glock 21 with my suppressor. I also have a Ruger 9mm PCC rifle I will try it on. I have some 147 grain and some 150 grain 9mm to try out of that. Maybe the 150 will stay subsonic. I have a few other 9mm guns with threaded barrels I will try out with my Octane. I have a 300 Blackout upper I want to try as soon as my subsonic ammo gets here for it. Next on my list is a 30 cal can. I am reading up on them now to see what one I want.

I used the Federal 147 gr. It's still a ton quieter than with no can, but you hear the crack.

The challenge is finding a place to shoot it. An ordinary range is loud as hell.

As you know, the Octane doesn't come with any way to attach it to a barrel. Did you get get anything? I've had mine for awhile so I've picked just about everything - pistons, direct thread, and 3 lug. One good thing about Silencerco, they've been around so long, the pistons are the de facto standard and work on many different cans.

I have a 1/2 X 28 piston and spring that came with my suppressor, and I bought a .578 X 28 piston. So that should cover me for my 9mm and 45 acp pistols. I also bought a fixed barrel spacer to replace the piston spring so I can use it on my Ruger 9mm PCC, and then I bought a direct thread mount in 5/8 X 24 for my AR 45 upper.
I have an AR upper in 22lr and a Sig Sauer 522 rifle to use with my Warlock 22 suppressor when I receive it. So far, I don't have a 22lr pistol, but that may change.
What threaded barrel do you have for your Glock 21? Is it more accurate than your stock barrel?

My barrel is a SilencerCo that I found on sale once upon a time.

More accurate? No idea. Bullets come out is all I know.

How often do you free state guys have to clean out your suppressors? Or you don't, you just let residue accumulate?

Supposedly every 300-500 rounds. Last time I used SeaFoam I didn’t get much gunk out. Next time I’ll use The Dip.

Do you take them apart or disassemble first?

I like the idea of throwing the stainless steel baffles in a tumbler, low effort for me.
