I’m right there with you, I’m not sure or really happy with the choices. Lake seems like a actress to me playing a part. I don’t really believe she has convictions, just playing the role she needs to play.
You can call me a misogynist but I really dislike voting for women as it seems they are starting to dominate politics and turning it into just another emotional reality show. I frequently listen to 690 The patriot. A host or two have been endorsing her. I agree with Dave and stormvet that she is beginning to look like a person posing as she needs to in order to get elected. One political add states she has only been a NRA member a year. I just think it’s pretty obvious we will not be getting a DeSantis or even an Abbot, I’m afraid we will get a purple governor. As good and as red as the two gals like to say they are, pretty sure the truth will not be in the pudding once either one is elected. This awful, insidious "defund the police" movement needs to be stopped in its tracks. There is a direct correlation between this movement and the explosion of violent crime happening across the country. The leaders of this effort have proven time and again they don't care about poor people, or people of color – if they did they wouldn't ignore and excuse the horrific gang violence spreading through our cities that disproportionately damages poor and minority communities.

I would likely vote for Lake over any democrat, but I think I'm essentially settled on Robson for the primary. I think Lake is a fake and simply stand behind whatever she thinks she needs to say to get elected.Comment

I am way too friggin' lazy. I don't even want to drive up to Phoenix.
If you're retired though, it's probably not that hard to get elected to state senate or rep. You guys should do it. Don't contact the Republican Party though, they steer the "wrong" type of people to a group that pretends to help, but who's function is to make sure you get stuck in the mud. Garret Lewis has talked about it.
AZ politics really is teh suck. Both parties were able to keep Evan Mecham off the ballot for decades, and when he finally broke through, won the governorship with ease. So they quickly cooked up an election donation scandal that was absurd, and impeached him. When you don't have anyone in either party on your side, you're dead meat. He was Trump before there was a political Trump.
