    Full Auto AP5

Playing at the range with a full auto AP5 (MP5 clone). Friend is a FFL 07 w/SOT.

I didnt care for MP5s because I heard the triggers suck (I have a G3 clone with an awful trigger), and no last round bolt hold open. However, the roller delayed blowback makes the recoil like a straight blowback .22LR. Fired it mostly with a silencer, and it was so quiet and steady that I wasnt sure if anything was coming out the barrel.

This is me shooting without the can. We are shooting at a plate from a 75g water heater that I cut up with a plasma cutter. Pretty thick. 115gr 9mm would pop a hole through it, but wouldn't go all the way.

Yeah, even in a free state that sear will cost you 20K plus. Not exactly "free" or even reasonably priced!

A trigger pack is about $300. The ap5 needs fitment if it is same as zenith. Ptr is drop in. Takes about 15 seconds to make full auto.

Triggers are lousy but the gun shoots so soft. I models are so fast.

Tell your friend to make sure he uses the right rollers for the can or he will damage the gun

The carrier was TIG welded, then milled since FA carriers were not in stock. Block on receiver had to be cut to allow FA carrier. I think he just used a different trigger box and added a trip lever (substantially less than a whole new trigger pack)... I think. Regardless, FFL 07 SOT ITAR still less than a single cheap transferrable MG.

But you can't buy one without having your own SOT, which comes with it's own costs.

              Hope he engraved that receiver.
Ptr is so much easier. Engrave pack. Drop in. Done. Can sell the gun later as title 1. I had a pack for a ptr9k and ptr9c plus a vector v93 and an indep g3.

I only bought 1 transferable for myself before I got my 07. Got a deal on an m16a2 for $15k and sold for $24k to a guy in Texas. That funded my business.

Locking plate and rollers sometimes need to be changed depending on gun and ammo used.

I didn't think I'd like MP5s until I was handed a FA one in at a range in CA. They shoot very well and are super easy to handle. I've shot several and prefer the 10mm with a 2 round and FA trigger. I have only shot HKs in FA. I have yet to shoot a clone with a trigger pack.

I never had any interest in them until my kid begged me to get a clone and install a pack. The k model became my fav since it is so fast. I could dump 5-10 rounds in a 2/3 plate at 30 yards with ease. Before my favorite was my full size uzi.

Of course neither are perfect. I'm a lefty so both are bad for ergos. Both have slow to swap magwells. My Colt 9 clone was the easiest for me with ergos and magwell but not as compact. I used my Colt as my night gun. infrared laser an dot I could run my course in zero light.
