    BassCliff Is Leaving CA

    Greetings!

I know I haven't posted much here. I've been sharing most of my electrons on the XD Talk forum and The Armory Life forum, both dedicated to Springfield Armory products.

I have a bunch of range reports in this XDTalk section:

And at https://www.thearmorylife.com/forum/ I've got a few hundred posts of various types, just shootin' the breeze.

All that to say I will be leaving California next week. We are just about packed up. The house is sold. Paid cash for another in Wisconsin. I'm looking forward to hunting turkeys, ducks, geese, and buying whatever the heck gun I want to.

I will keep this state in my prayers, the citizens, those in political office, all the law enforcement and fire personnel, and the schools.

This is not the "Golden State" I remember when I moved here in 1970. I hope the voters, the school boards, the lawyers, the politicians, and the media turn back toward God and make this state golden again. God bless us all.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

                Congratulations

Although, I hope you know what to expect from a winter in the upper Midwest.

My sentiments exactly Cliff, word for word. I was Californian through and through, I'll admit I almost cried when I left.

I still have extensive ties to my former home in the Bay Area.

We were set up pretty good, mortgage was $24k from being paid off and we could retire with some semblance of financial security.

The Ammo background check was my final straw.
We hit the ID border and never looked back.

I find it strange that so many people continue to justify(what I see as) an abusive relationship.

It's what really set my decision in stone as well, that and water rationing. C-ya. Very happy here, I am sure you are there... and I am quite sure the OP will enjoy Wisconsin.
