They were $369 on BDU. Now that the relationship between RBT and BDU have soured, the only source would be directly from RBT. Or try the scalpers on the MP or GB.

Good for you, Phouty! What’s nice is that the BFSIII is mostly trouble free. Install it and it runs. Not so for the FRT-15 (so I heard)

Did you use their awful SAFE-SEMI-BINARY sticker? I just left mine off and color filled the AUTO setting with red paint to remind myself.

Became an 'expert' already! After shooting additional 60 rounds.
(There was more ammo in the store, but I didn't want to empty the shelf completely. Remember kids! Be courteous to others)!

Needles to say, that I was shooting bare bone gun, straight from the box. No sights of any kind, so even it would be difficult to call it 'the shooting session'. Just spewing the bullets in a general direction without aiming at specific target.
But it was pure fun!!! Especially when shooting Rambo style!
It didn't take long before I got a grip on this trigger. Got quite a few and very nice to the ear "full auto" bursts!

Definitely it works without any tuning. I'm very satisfied!
Also ordered two cans of "green tip" ammo on-line already.
Should arrive in a couple of days.

Disassembled the 'beast' and having trouble resisting temptations to pull the trigger assembly apart. Maybe some time in the future.

Started gently removing the red sticker, but my wife commented saying, that it looks cool...so I left it in place...for time being. It will be gone sooner rather than later.

Question: Can I safely use .223 ammo in this piece marked 5.56?

Sure. Most 5.56 guns can fire .223.

If I were low on ammo, I’d save my green tips for SHTF. I do my high volume shooting with cheaper steel case.

My buddy has all three. In order of fun factor rare breed, franklin, fostech is a distant last.

No idea, but my state doesn’t GAF. Runs great in my suppressed LWRC.

Franklin Binary is a lot of fun in a CZ Scorpion.

A little update on the subject. For the past month or so I've been diligently exercising with my new AR, using mostly its binary mode. I'm proud to announce, I finally achieved an intermediate Mall Ninja proficiency level with it!
Seriously. A 'double tap' is a perfect mode for self-defense. The 'double tap' groups at 50 to 100 yards are quite 'tight'. But it doesn't come easily! (Practice, practice...practice). Got to admit, after a couple of days I got bored with a 'full auto' shooting while using the binary trigger...waste of ammo.
Nevertheless I was still curious about the alternative...FRT.
To make the long story short...ordered one, and because I'm a lazy guy not willing to dig into the entrails of my AR to swap triggers, I also bought a new 'platform' for the FRT, thus giving it a permanent home to reside.
This time I decided on this one:

After some soul searching I made a choice to 'retrograde' my second AR and dress it in such a way, as to bring it to the looks of a Vietnam era M16...all necessary furniture just arrived today. My first AR is already dressed to full International Mall Ninja Standard...got a laser, tactical flashlight, reflex sight, front grip, a bipod, and other useless, but expensive gizmos. But so-called fun factor is priceless!
With my second AR I'm gonna practice in a slightly different mode: Full Rambo shall we go!
One thing worries me though: Could I afford to buy a fodder, while utilizing it in FRM? (FRM --> Full Rambo Mode). The ammo isn't cheap nowadays.
Nah, who cares? We shall see.
                    Future updates will follow.

                    PS
Did I mention I'm basically a dedicated AK guy? Just to stay with my 'convictions' I simultaneously bought such a nice piece from the same outlet:

Got to keep things in balance!

                      Congrats Phouty!

One thing about the FRT15. Treat it like a fight club. While we all wish for Mr. Dimonico’s success in his struggle with the AFT, his product’s legality is still far from settled.

If he wins, I was told that RB is planning to roll out an FRT for the AK (followed by one for the Ruger 10/22, then one for the HK roller lock guns), so keep praying for his success in court.

I'd spend the money on a class

If an untrained 17 year old can fire 5/6 rounds per second and get hits, train to do the same thing.
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
                        (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Assuming you don't lose it in a tragic boating accident in the meantime.

Sorry, had no time for posting updates. (Been busy shooting my toys).
My FRT did not require any tuning.
Ran flawlessly straight from the box.
Have to agree with others: Rear Breed provides more fun factor, however Franklin is better for self defense. I've got some nice 'tight' groupings at 100 yards, and 'decent' groups at +200 yards using its binary mode.
Overall I give both systems a PASS!
                                BTW
I consciously limit shooting on my property to distances not exceeding +/- 300 yards.
Got adequate natural back stops, but there is a minute danger, in a case of accidentally 'shooting high', that the bullets may be flying through my distant neighbor living room. Got already permission of that neighbor to inspect this particular and densely wooded portion of his property to make sure everything is 100% safe, because 99.999% safe is not good enough for me. (For him too). Waiting for a proper weather to wander through his hilly woods. In return I allowed him to build a permanent blind in a distant corner of my property. Win-win situation.
                                Live is good!!!
