Two SBR applications... one completed and approved (took some time because it was on a 2014 80% build that I did in CA) but the other I get back after sending in fingerprints and all, disapproved because they couldn't open my Form 23 for the application. They already started the refund process. What lazy POS can't pick up the phone and say "hey we couldn't open your form 23 can you try uploading it again?" But no, after 4 months I have to start all over.

The ATF form doesn’t work. Next time try this free form generator. https://www.nationalguntrusts.com/pa...work-generator I’m not affiliated with them, but use that form generator for all my form 1’s. They also have a form generator for adding different uppers to your SBR and they sell ATF marked finger print cards.
FWIW, Four months is a lifetime for e-forms. I think my longest was 37 days and that encompassed Xmas and new year’s. The shortest was 12 days.Comment

Yes, as a pdf.
I used a form generator from my online Trust company. The file was fine, I have no idea why it would not open for them. Used the same process on my first one.The ATF form doesn’t work. What sucks is the approval times have really slowed down for me. Pre-Biden days, you get them back in 14-30 days. Now it’s taking me 35+ days for approvals.
Either there are a lot more applications from peeps scurrying from this AWB, or the new administration just telling them to go DMV.sigpic

Likely more submissions due to the stupid debacle with the AR pistols a few months back. I am going to start 2 new ones to replace the disapproved one. It was my 10.5" AR in .223 on an 80% that was disapproved, going to submit another for 7.62x39 on an Anderson lower i just built. I'll wait to order the upper since that one should be 4-6 weeks. What sucks is the approval times have really slowed down for me. Pre-Biden days, you get them back in 14-30 days. Not a whole lot of other forums that understand the nuances of why an AR pistol built in CA in 2014 is significant and why one might want to SBR that instead of a fresh lower.
There is a form 1 forum but I find that to be just a brag board about who got the shortest time to approval. The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money.Comment

At least with ARs, all you need is one SBRed lower, then you can run most of your short barreled uppers. You can even run CMMG's ARC magazines, or use one of the various magazine adapters for your various pistol caliber ammo (beware of the different trigger, buffer and spring issues, but that's topic for another thread.)Likely more submissions due to the stupid debacle with the AR pistols a few months back. I stayed with 4 AR lowers, an MGI Hydra lower because it can be configured to accept different magazine wells, a CMMG Banshee Colt lower because of its radially delayed blowback system and a cheapo PSA No Step on Snek lower because I want to run a binary trigger in an SBR
Wonder how those guys are faring with their applications under Biden's ATF. Are they waiting longer too?Not a whole lot of other forums that understand the nuances of why an AR pistol built in CA in 2014 is significant and why one might want to SBR that instead of a fresh lower.

I feel the same way about this AK I built in CA. Mine was even a registered AW with CA-DOJ.sigpic

That's why I submitted these four tonight. I still have quite a few braced pistols left, but mostly boring AR pistols and a lowly AK-V.
Maybe I'd put two more on Draft state.
Uploading those RPQs and Trusts would really suck tomorrow!sigpic

I used eForms without issue on Monday to submit a form 1 for my Uzi build. Turn around on approvals has been about 30 days with my last one taking 34 days from submission to approval. But with the soon to be legislation that will probably ban armbraces, I expect a ton of people are going to start filing F1's to make their pistols SBRs. I never bought into the whole armbrace deal and figured it was just a matter of time before they were banned.Comment
