Ya, "bankrupt" works. I'll go with that.

If you decide to go that route there are some great places to do the class and they include everything you will need. Technically with a DD214 you are not required to take the class but I felt it was a great education since they go over various laws and so forth that will pleasantly surprise you coming from Commiefornia laws.

We completely lucked out finding our home here. We've also been thinking about buying a chunk of desert, mainly just to have a place to target shoot etc. more than for anything else.

At least that's on the list of things we want to do. We love it here as well, especially the difference in political climate between here and Tucson proper.

Dave here’s a little visitor we had yesterday afternoon, walked right up to our front door. Wife opened the door and screamed, thought it was gonna be a rattlesnake. But nope a big old Gila monster, it was cool as hell. When it saw us it just wanted to hide. Left it alone and it went back home, found it’s den about 50-75 feet off the side of the house. My new neighbor ha ha.

Same here. We moved out of TX in 1986, back to California for 2 weeks in 2000 to save on capital gains, and onto Idaho in July of 2002. We were ecstatic to move then, and looking at the schithole that resulted in CA, I know we did the right thing.

I haven't heard much lately about "quitters" and "stay and fight" bravo sierra that was popular here.

I'd have to win the lotto to move out of this state. With 3 kids and 12 grandkids, the wife doesn't want to be away from the family. The lotto would allow me to move all of us and if they don't want to, it allows us to charter a plane to fly us back to visit once a week if that is what she wants. Heck, the airport is 4 miles from my home and my kids are, at the most, 10 minutes away. Since I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to occur I'm stuck here.

They are really interesting. We had a little guy in our backyard that I put a piece of a stick in front of him to see the jaws on action. Definitely wouldn't want to get bit I understand their venom is not deadly but very painful.
