    Eagle, Nampa, and Kuna...

...have all voted to make their towns 2nd Amendment "sanctuary cities".

Eagle kind of surprised me as it's rep is a landing zone for California liberal/progressive/communist thought, generally.

Not surprised whatsoever with Nampa and Kuna. Idaho's law prohibits Idaho LE from enforcing federal firearms laws and has for a while.

True wealth is time. Time to enjoy life.

Life's journey is not to arrive safely in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy schit...what a ride"!!

      Deails in the Statesman today.
I found it odd as well, considering the entire state is a 2A sanctuary state.

It's more to send a message than anything else. Greenleaf, a small town in canyon county, passed a local ordinance a few years back requiring everyone in town to own a gun.

Californians up here are more likely conservative than liberal.

            My experience, anyway.

The people most interested, back home in the Bay Area, about joining the exodus to ID are hard working taxpayers.

Didn't Star do this as well not too long ago?
"Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. They promise to be good masters, but they mean to be masters." -Daniel Webster

I don't live in Boise or Ada county. I have no control over what happens in Boise.
And for the record, Boise is NOT the rest of Idaho.
Please check the voting trends in this state since 1994, and then come back with an informed opinion.

Because Boise is the capitol of Idaho we do have some say on what goes on there, even if not at the local level.

That’s a great place to stop and eat too after a day hiking/exploring in the owyhees. And the owners open carry. Lunch special till 16:30, personal pizza salad and fountain drink for like 10 bucks.
Check out the Owyhee Bypass Highway. It starts out in Jordan Valley and ends up, iirc, in Greenleaf. This time of the year I could do it in the Land Cruiser or LX, but it might be more of an all day drive. Otherwise, we normally allow 6 or 7 hours. A good guide with maps is available at the Marsing BLM office. You can also download it.

When the snow stops, you really need to check out The Mirage bar/restaurant in Adrian, OR. North through Homedale and the road turns west and passes through some beautiful scenery. About 30 miles later, you're in Adrian. The Mirage has some of the best beef we've eaten, including Ruth's Chris and the half of an angus we buy from our neighbor. The Mirage is across the street from the volunteer FD. Reservations for sure Friday and Saturday. You'll meet people from all over as well as locals. Service is first rate and you're probably $50 per person with no booze or tip counted.

Google Map They had a website and now have a Facebook page.

The Succor Creek Road starts in Homedale and ends near Jordan Valley. We usually take it to Ponderosa Reservoir, lunch there and home back on the highway is also a good day trip.

Watch your speed if you cross into Oregon.
