    Availability ammo, guns

I bought 223, 556, max allowed at sportsman warehouse in Eureka ca, noticed they had lots in stock yesterday and at least a full compliment of long guns for sale. Is it the same for Idaho?

Was in Sportsmans warehouse in Nampa, Idaho (20 mi from boise) Thursday Dec 30 and saw someone buying 8 boxes of 5.56. The clerk would only let him buy two boxes so he got three of his friends to buy the other 6.

As far as I know, there is no shortage of guns in the boise area stores - just ammo, smokeless powder, and primers.

No guns, no ammo, bare shelves. Hell, even tac knives are sold out here in Georgia. LGS has plenty of foot traffic, with nothing to sell.

The Eureka store allowed two boxes per brand/mfg so I was able to find 5 different brands=10 boxes.

Sounds like PA. I know a few LGS with guns - even popular ones, that are NOMINALLY affordable... but still NO ammo.

            I haven't bought any ammo but have been in 2 different Big5's in my area and they had 9mm , .357 SIG , .22lr , .556 , .45 and various oddball stuff. No .38 or . 357m though.

No problem finding guns here so far.

Ammo in common hunting calibers is scarce as it's hunting season time. Good news is you shouldn't need more than a box or 2.

Sportsmans Warehouse and Big 5 in Carson City had bare ammo shelves except for a few odd calibers.
