Moving to Idaho

Howdy, new to forum, wife and I decided to sell the house and move to Boise area. Although we live in a conservative small town up north along the coast, we see no change in the direction the state is heading, and is beyond the point of no return.
We are NRA and USCCA members, one of the few places in Ca CCW is welcomed by the sheriff.
I'm looking forward to purchasing other firearms that are banned here and getting a suppressor.

I'm retired, veteran, worked all my life and support the police and church, the exact type of person who is longer welcome in this state.
Looking at houses in Emmet. We took a trip there recently for a week and toured all the areas. No homeless camps, needles, trash, graffiti, little kids walking to school unescorted, methanol free gas stations, just plain normal and safe.

I'll second this, but Idaho has one major drawback, there's no place to surf in Idaho.

Washington and Oregon are also great places so long as you avoid Portland and Seattle.

Boise is going nutso fairly fast compared to the rest of the state.

I did learn the hard way about California license plates in the Pacific Northwest. Get rid of them as fast as you can. They do tend to draw fire from the locals.

Surfing happens here on rivers. Having tried rivers and done a lot of surfing in CA, rivers take a lot more skill.

Emmett is kinda like the Fortuna, same size and relatively quiet and normal except its not in a communist country. We only have two seasons here, fall and spring. It will take time to acclimate to having to run an AC unit in the summer and wearing more than a t-shirt in the winter. We are in the process of getting rid of years of stuff we accumulated and preparing the house for sale this spring. Debating weather or not to sell my HKp7m8 here since its worth more here, to finance the evil AR15 with suppressor.

A buddy of mine, sold his house in Roseville and built a house and shop in Emmet. He looked all over Idaho before he choose Emmet. He really likes it there.

Ended up not working out and we landed two miles north of Middleton.

You gotta love a town that features a Sherman tank parked out front of City Hall!

Beware. SW Idaho is exploding with development. Take that into consideration so that you don't end up next to a subdivision that was a cornfield when you buy the place.

Do it before California collapses under its own corruption and filth.

The wife and I cashed in some stocks and this Friday we are flying to Boise to look for some real property. We are going to keep our house in La Jolla and split our time between La Jolla and Boise. We are not certain what we want to buy in Boise, a condo, a house, or some property in a rural area. If anyone is a real estate agent in the Boise area please send me a PM. We too have had it with California for all the reasons that have been previously discussed on this site.
