Since I only recently found this forum and the oroginal post was too dead to post to, I am continuing it this way
SO... My very first purchase was my symbolic finger to California guns laws. Itwas not what most would expect. An S&W Governor

It's a blast ofcourse.
There's a variety of .410 defensive shot shells that are interesting. I imagine this would be a great load for carrying in the car. A very nasty surprise to a carjacker
.45LC is a bit expensive to shoot so I don't do a lot
I enjoy shooting .45 ACP on moon clips through, however. The ability to shoot all 3 calibers was worth the price difference between it and the Taurus Judge.
IMO it is really a close range only weapon.

Would likely be my first impulse buy if out of CA....before researching all the other cool stuff I now have open to me. A short barrel shotgun S&W for a reasonable price??!! Heck yes! Agreed on spending a little more and going with the Smith as well. Congrats!

Waiting on a Stribog right now

I've bought one firearm since leaving CA nearly 2 years ago.
A Cimmeron SAA clone for the Wife. It's a companion to her Henry Big Boy.
I still have firearms that I bought here in AZ when I lived here in the 70's/80's.
And I normalized the modern sporting rifles our first week here.

Oh yeah
I busted those bullet buttons off the third day I was up here. I bought a tool that made short work of the factory bullet buttons regardless of how much Loc-Tite S&W and DD used

Fortunately mine were 80%, featureless (when still allowed) or disassembled, or rimfire.
So I've never used a bullet button.
