I moved from CA to the SW Corner of New Mexico 5 years ago.
I just bought Mid-Range Gasoline at $2.43 per Gallon, however, I had to make an 80 mile round trip. Same for food, and medical things. I live on the Navaho/Zuni Reservation. Little or no law enforcement.
No Landlines so IT and TV has to come through via Satellite. I am one of the few people in the US that actually have to use their 4X4 6 months of the year.
I own-outright, my 6 year old, 2000 square foot home. 16 Acres.
It is not easy, but much better than CA.
Nevertheless, I will not be able to move back to CA. ever.
Any New Mexicans' out there?
