    A mother asked...

A mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in Iraq ?'

A mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in Saudi
    Arabia ?'

A mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in Kuwait?'

Another mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in
    Vietnam ?'

Another mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die in
    Korea ?'

Another mother asked this President... 'Why did my son have to die on Iwo
    Jima ?'

Another mother asked President... 'Why did my son have to die on a
    battlefield in France ?'

Yet another mother asked President... 'Why did my son have to die at
    Gettysburg ?'

And yet another mother asked President... 'Why did my son have to die on a
frozen field near Valley Forge ?'

Then long, long ago, a mother asked...

'Heavenly Father ... why did my Son have to die on a cross outside of
    Jerusalem ?'

The answer is always the same... 'So that others may live and dwell in peace,
    happiness, and freedom.'

This was emailed to me with no author. I thought the magnitude and the
    simplicity were awesome.

If you are not willing to stand BEHIND our troops,

Please, please feel free to stand in front of them....
    What Is A Veteran?

A "Veteran" -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including his or her life."

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

I can't say I fully understand the sacrifices our servicemen & women make to keep me in the life I have, as I've never served.

I CAN say that I DO appreciate it in every respect that I can.

I can also say that my opposition to the war isn't because I don't appreciate those sacrifices, but because I don't want to see any more unnecessary ones.
