    Lets Bring Em Home 2014!

This is a feel good deal that I've supported for a long time.

Do you know a junior enlisted type that can't afford to get home for the holidays?

Maybe Ernie can help. He's a great American.

    Cheers, Pete.

Shouldn't this be covered by taxpayers/DoD?

Maybe put effort into making a stink and suggesting some wasted funds be diverted.

Of course, I say that about Breast Cancer, too. Yeah, I already gave $100 today, and have given it EVERY DAY for last 20+years.

However, the women with the cancer keep choosing to blow it all on silly things, by continuing to re-elect Dems and Repubs.

At some point they need to take responsibility for their actions.

PS- I thought free(2nd class) airline tickets (within reason, when on leave, etc) was one of the perks of mil-service, to make up for the fact they are semi-duty 100% of the rest of the time, along with free healthcare, PX, etc.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

I think that you misunderstood what is going on here. It is difficult to tell though, since you were incoherent. The link is for a charity that buys plane tickets for servicemen to visit home.

OP, there are always servicemen who are paying for poor financial decisions or divorces so it is wonderful that you (and others) want to ensure that they have a happy holiday.

I don't understand. Is he being forced out for being an ammo-grabbing fascist or for being a failure as an ammo-grabbing fascist?

I dont know how I feel about this one.... I was always able to afford a plane ticket home while I was in. Every 1st and 15th of the month that direct deposit hit.

Now I understand if they are short on funds because they're supporting their family back home, but not if they're blowing all their pay getting drunk.

          Good on you either way.

I sure hope that everyone who posts their .02 to this thread themselves served. Booking leave and often paying peak prices and burning 2 days each way for the commute sucks. Just to get off the island in Cuba we had to book this rickety local prop plane that cost about $400 round trip just to go to Fort Lauderdale. 2.5 hours in a tiny loud plane with no bathroom. FUN!
