A guy going through Benning infantry basic needs some support

I was lucky enough in 95 to scribble down a few notes each day in basic. I sent the guy a note and scanned off each page of my daily log. The address is in description of video

The guy making the video has a son doing basic down there right now so it must be someone he knows

half of you here are weak and lame that will basically wind up being happy with .22 single shot pistols or single barrel shotguns..

Thank you for sharing. Mailcall is a good form of support.

My sister would send me nice **** like a G-Shok watch and pictures of scarcely dressed asian ladies. Man my battlebuddies would steal those pictures from me, cheeky little ****s. It is also bad if he gets way too much mail, might attract unwanted attention, but maybe I'm just too worried for the lad.

I will send this Pvt. a letter and give some courage in the form of writing.

All through Army BCT and AIT I got exactly one piece of mail, and that was a Jody letter from the girl I had been dating before I shipped out. The Drill Sergeants were right about that one....

I don't remember any mail that I got while there, but then again that was over 13 years ago. If I did get any, it wasn't much or anything special.

I guess social media / modern times really changed stuff. Everyone in my platoon got mail in 2012. Went through all the roster numbers. Training units like 1-50, 2-54 of 198th etc all have FaceBook pages now, and connect with families and post mail addresses.

That sounds implausible, unless for some reason the government would have your very temporary training unit address. Then again I don't know how they did things back then.

SS Registration is sent to HOR / Last Known Address of the Social Security Number.

We can send him things that will make him "stand out" as a soldier in the eyes of the Drill SGT's.

Yea, ironically I didn't even have a Facebook account until I went through Intel AIT over winter exodus. The company leadership was too lazy to track us, and they wanted us all to respond via FB that we made it to our destination.
