    GI Bill for trucking school

Ok so the time has come where i wanna get back to work. A class A license is a valuable thing to have since the demand is pretty high.

Anyone ever use their GI bill for trucking school? Know of any good locations in southern california that are GI bill friendly?

DONT WASTE YOUR GI BILL ON $2500.00 CLASS. You can even find places cheaper then that. Use GI bill on something that cost alot. I know money can be tight but save gi bill

Well reason I'm asking is because i used up over half and only have a few months of benefits left. My benefits also expire November this year

IIRC Montgomery GI Bill was good for pretty much anything. Post 9/11 Bill (I believe) requires course to be through an accredited college.

Well that make the situation different. I thought you were going to use the whole GI bill just on getting your class A. (That would be a waste of alot of funds.)Yeah if its about to expire and you used most of it. DO IT you earned it.

None of my business asking when you got out. If you are on the Montgomery GI Bill its a 10yr expiration. Post 9/11 is 15 years.

I believe once you start using your GI bill/ post 9/11. You have 3 years to use it or you lose it. I don't recall the exact time frame but it something along those lines.

But yes if you haven't used them, then there good for 10 years for GI and 5 for post. 9/11

I used mine for an apprentice school with a local Operating engineers union. Got paid at work and gi bill on the side for 3 years. Use it or lose it.

You can start and stop. You just have to use it before the 10 or 15 year expiration. If you are on the old GI bill it will automatically roll over to the post 9/11 at the 10 year mark.

                            GI Bill for trucking school

You transferred from the original GI bill? Or no? Also, he's correct that you can start and stop using the bill. I don't know where the 36 month consecutive myth came from... I thought that was true for a while until I researched
