Snowden is now a trained spy???????

    Oh please..............

He's just exactly like those military wannabes that washed out of basic and know enough to sound stupid to those who know better.

He did more damage/shed more light than any celebrated spy in history since the Rosenburgs.

And is still alive, I say he qualifies.

He may have done some damage. But I for one am glad there is now proof that the government has zero respect for privacy rights. It sheds a lot of light on the decline of our Republic.

Here he's blaming the U.S. for his being stranded in Russia.

No Mr. Snowden, you are stranded in Russia because you are a thief and a traitor to the oath you swore, and on your own accord left the United States willingly.

John Kerry says "If Mr. Snowden wants to return to the United States, we'll have him on a flight today" "

I think Russia has a treasure trove and has from the beginning.

First impression... He sounds like he might actually know what's he's talking about. Time will tell.

And while he undeniably violated his oath, he has done a great service to this country and the world. The truth is always best. Just watch the cockroaches scrambling for the darkness and secrecy.

And the world? So you are opposed to the US spying on its enemies? The US is the only one who spies? I believe the figure is almost $1 trillion of R&D and business/trade secrets China has stolen. Could you please wag your finger at them? Well....how about every other country too?

You appear a little butt hurt that someone might have a differing opinion. Too bad.

We were/are spying on everyone, including our friends and our own citizens.

You sound a little like the child that try's to explain their bad behavior away by saying "well, every one else was doing it!"

Butt hurt? LMAO....perhaps it was a call to you to think through your "and the world" statement. Another hint for you.....spying is the oldest profession. Everyone does it. Your disdain for when only this country does it shows through.

lol, china is so far behind our govts ability to spy its ridiculous. we spy on our own citizens, china "tries" to spy on our govt and "tries" to steal US corporate information.

in reality, the only thing they are actually having success with are unprotected networks. i surely cannot speak to the security of every corporate network but i can speak to about 32 banks and trusts in the US that have all blacklisted any IP coming out of mainland china, russia and other random countries with lackadaisical laws pertaining to cyber terrorism. china just happens to have theirs sanctioned by the govt which is no huge surprise seeing how extremely behind the tech curve china is compared to the modern world.

i wholly believe that snowden was a spy in every sense of the word. he was paid by a private company to work for our govt overseas. he had the right skill-set, knew the back story and knew the protocols. a low level admin does not have access to anywhere near that amount of info nor is he required to work overseas under a different name than his passport suggests.

If he wasn't an American spy, he's probably now trained as a Russian spy by now.

"Why the long face" John Fitz Kerry was asked today if he could offer one example of an American that has been killed by Snowden's leaks. He answered, "they are all under threat", so in other words, no.

Meanwhile, 1 BP agent killed, 40 VA vets killed, 4000 GI's killed and no one asks Obama how many his actions have killed.

Yes, and the world. The information he has divulged has been reported around the world. People around the world watch news programs which originate here and the more we report on it the more aware they and we are of what's going on.

Sorry, spying is not oldest profession, prostitution is. Least, that's what I hear.

Still trying justify our spying on our own citizens, our friends and our enemies with the "everyone does it" excuse?

As for Snowden, time will tell whether he has provided a service or a disservice to this country. But one thing is sure, we are talking about it and that is a good thing.

completely agree. he is more in line with the nobel peace prize than obama was thats for damn sure. this guy gave up his life for his sense of morality. we all knew that big brother was spying on us, we just never knew to what extent.

Ok so if he was a spy then he's now a double agent.
