    Question About VA Claim

I just received a packet from the VA review board stating that a Veterans Law Judge from the VA board of appeals has overturned the VA's previous denial of my claim. I have been fighting this since 2008, and the letter states the decision to grant my claim will be forwarded to my local VA office. What happens next?

I am assuming some type of rating evaluation will happen such was the case on my current service connected disability, but I have never had a claim granted through the appeals process so I am not sure. Any info would be appreciated. This has been a long frustrating fight with the VA...

Tag, I am also in the process with my claim.. I am hoping mine does not get denied. My claim officer told me since I am a veteran with combat action ribbon with combat operator MOS. The VA cannot denied me with PTSD and TBI percentage.

Wish you luck bro, I just came back from VA hospital and I have to wear special glasses and hearing aid due to my trauma brain injury.

Good luck to you as well Bro. My claim, according to what the judge said should have been presumptive based on my combat service and my documented injuries. It seems that the local VA was just playing games with me. I am happy that the appeals boards seems to have made things right. I am just not sure what's next. I have done this by myself so I don't have a rep to talk to.

Yep, down in San Diego. I might go by the VFW and see if there is a rep there I can talk to also. Thanks for the info.

Snail mail results are forthcoming. Just have to wait and hope for lots of back pay. My back pay was held onto for several months until xmas eve probably for dramatic effect.

^^^ thanks for the info. I talked to a rep yesterday and they said pretty much the same thing. 30-90 days for a rating decision, and then we go from there.
