Sig Sauer Commemorative Purchase Program

According to a post on TheFirearmBlog, Sig Sauer just reduced their "group buy" for Law Enforcement Agencies and Military Units from 25 handguns and 15 rifles down to 15 or 10 handguns/rifles respectively.

As a Navy veteran myself, if someone were to organize a veteran themed group buy of some sort, I would definitely be in! I'm on the market for new Sig.

Our squadron at Beale is doing one of these right now, I can say the prices are pretty good, they have their gov't pricing on their website, engraving doesn't add too much to it.

I'll let you know how it goes, as CA has some funky laws dealing with Roster stuff.

What model did your squadron opt in for? And yes, California Handgun Roster is pretty funky/stupid.

Your local FFL is probably more than happy to transfer an entire order of custom Sigs and collect SSE fees.

We went for the Sig Nitron 1911, small logo of our plane and some words. It was actually started by someone downrange. Not sure when we're gonna get them but I'll be sure to post pics and details when we do.

When I was in Iraq my brigade did commemorative pistols from Sig Sauer for our tour. I initially signed up for one, but was out at one of our outposts when the final paperwork (and money) ended up being collected, so I was screwed out of an awesome pistol at a great price. I wondering if they could do one retroactively for my brigade's tour.

I have a sig 220 that we did before we went downrange. It was great pricing with laser engraving and we got 3 mags with NS. The unit also did a 229R with the same markings and mags, I sold mine to another soldier who didn't do the deal at the time. I think it is an awesome program and am thankful to sig for it. We fell under the 101'st and they did a program through Kimber so I ended up with a Kimber too out of that deployment. The other half of our unit from NV did a deal through para ordnance, but the roster stopped us from that deal. I am glad they cut down the number required to do the program.

Yea that finally surfaced after I pointed it out initially to our point of contact. Turns out Sig or our rep misunderstood something and we are no longer getting the pistols.
