    MAJCOM award from 4-star General

I just wanted to share this. Someone texted me I was in the base paper, so I ran grabbed several copies. Unfortunately that's as high as the award goes; no chance to compete at the branch level.

      Braggart!

Nah, kidding. Congrats man. Face time with flag officers is pretty rare. Sounds like you are an example to your troops and the award well deserved. Good job and thanks for serving.

        Ole!

I'm gratified to see that someone of worth in the military is recognized officially. It seems like the only purpose for honors today are trinkets to reward the best boot-licker in the unit.

Coolio. Gen. Rice was the 13th AF Commander when I first got assigned to the unit. I was surprised that he went to AETC, since he was more of an ISR guy. I figured he would end up in Langley, and possibly as the Chief of Staff. I think the scandal with the TI's did him in which sucks. Congrats on the award.

No coin with it, just the award. They're doing severe cost-cutting and my award was pretty low budget too, so some friends pitched in and upgraded it at our local shop, lol.

Sweet, I can only dream of Hawaii. I hope it didn't hurt him too much. He's been solid, despite the whole blues Monday thing persisting which is a non-issue, just annoying. I would say he should be able to recover, as the sexual assaults are steady across the branches and MAJCOMs. The TIs are just the ones getting the most press.

I moved with him from Guam to Hawaii. After my sixth year there, the island got old real fast and I retired. Gen. Rice is retiring on 1 Dec. of this year. I doubt it was his choice.

I know he's at 30 years, 4 star, can't do much better. Whether it was his choice or not I think he did well.
