    Service Stripe Sewn on

    Hello,

Does anyone know where to go in the Bay Area to have a service stripe sewn on? I know there were a few places by Camp Parks but I wasn't sure

    Thank you!

Travis is probably the best bet. Or Presidio of Monterey.

Kinda SOL unless you have someone in your FRG that's handy with a sewing machine.

Check around the old Presidio. There may still be some places that know how to do it.

Any competent civilian tailor can do it if you can tell them exactly where it goes.

Almost any civilian tailor will know where to put it. They see more uniforms then most people think.

Depending on your distance to a real base, I wouldn't bet on it. Too much variation between branches, different uniforms and accoutrements to expect them to know what is what and where it goes. You, however, should be very familiar with your respective branch uniform regulations, and be able to tell them. It's just easier that way

I would bet on it. I had a Tailor in Roswell NM sew a Command Rocker and chevron on my blues. It's as simple as pulling up the regs online.
