Only squids I've heard of wearing MARPAT are FMF Corpsman... I highly doubt you're gonna see a fatass working an FMF billet. Regular Sailors playing in the sand wear DCUs still... unless they're filling an IA billet and wearing ACUs. Only NSW gets the Type II NWUs, and those guys don't know how to be fat. My uneducated wager is a Marine on IRR who was recalled... think that was the back-story with that fat Soldier pic posted above.

actually, Type II and III are both being fielded by those that need them now, DCU's are gone.

I will probably get them when I det out off the ship next year.

RPs and chaplains also wear MARPAT uniforms.

If sorry *** NCOs would do their jobs we wouldnt have so many fat asses in the service. Can you say "reduction board"? I can... I have... and I will continue to do so until NCOs get their sh*t together.

I've seen a few weird ratings attached to Marine units. CLB 13 had some Navy SKs and my first command had a PS with an FMF pin. Don't know why, considering the Marines have their own MOS's for that stuff.

The problem is there are just as many fat *** NCOs as their are Joes. If SGMs and 1SGs did their job and denied EVERYONE who was overweight from any promotion board we wouldn't have this problem.

My brother commanded the Student Admin company at SOI on Pendleton for a while.

There are fat Marines. Trust me.
