    Tricare claim help

Early this year I came off an assignment. We were out of our assigned housing and returned to our home of record early this year. While on terminal leave, I had to see the doctor but now I am finding out that I have to pay the bill myself and that I should of went to a military facility. Now I was still on orders but returned to my home of record and the nearest military facility is far over fifty miles. I called tri-care but they said I need to show military authorization to go to my dr yet the assignnment has been over for six months and I have no idea where anyone of the chain of command for that task force is
How do you think this is the best way to fight this? The doctors office has been working with me as I just now found out as it was going to collections, I explained everything and they are giving me 30 days to fix this.

yup, I'm SOL. Tricare is claiming MMSO is supposed to take care of this, MMSO is claiming Tricare is supposed to take care of this. Now they are saying I have to call my COC at the Navy base to get them to authorize my doctors visit from back in Feb. I'm in the Guard! Not the Navy! I have NO chain of command at a Navy base!!!!
Looks like I have to pay this medical bill out of pocket

We were a taskforce made up of different units of Army and Air Guard units. The only other joes I have contact with are lower enlisted. The medical officer in charge was Airforce. I'll dig for my orders in the morning and send you a PM. Thanks a bunch
