    USMAP

US military apprenticeship program when finished you get a journeyman card from US DEPT of labor.
I have yet to hear anyone say it was actually worth anything, when you get out.
I just finished my journeyman for plumber

You may as well do it if you're in a compatible MOS, but like anything else prospective employers will look at WHERE you apprenticed. The military may have weight with them or it may not.

I have one in Electro-optical assembly. IMHO other than bragging rights it hasn't done much for me since I've gotten out (few comments in interviews on it). However, it was nice to put on my evaluation that bumped me to a EP that got me to AT1. Totally worth it to do, just keep up on it and its REALLY FRICKIN EASY.
