    Need info Navy spouse

I'm just about to retire Jun 30 and if you ask me any question about the Navy and programs I know most of it, but ask me anything about being a Navy spouse which is what I will be and I don't know anything.
My wife is in the Navy for the Next 12+ years (i married young) so I now have to deal with the following:
    1. Tricare where i hear if you don't know what your doing you could have to pay large amounts out of pocket.
    2. As a retiree I have to pick a State but as a spouse/dependant can I keep my license in another state, is there a discount for spouses?
    3. When I get a job as a spouse can I claim my home state for taxes or do I have to switch to California?

I know there are classes for new spouses but most of them are dealing with stress of deployments and couseling, I just need to know the ins and outs of being a spouse.

Thank you for your time and information

IIRC the MMSRA allows the spouse to keep residency in a state if they have to move due to the SVM's orders:

It specifically calls out taxes and voting rights, I don't know if that extends to property, jobs and education as well. I know for my home state driver's licenses etc. are under the tax and revenue department completely (not transportation).
