That's sick, the families were probably told the ashes were scattered at sea, the medical waste argument is a poor excuse.

As absolutely disgusted as I am to hear this I am unfortunately not surprised. Our military is a product of our society and our society is constantly changing its values and morals. We would all like to think that only the best examples of our society are chosen and furthermore that after the rigors of boot camp they can't help but to be the best specimens, but this is by no means the case.

This is what happens when the dollar is valued over the people who have fought to keep this and other countries free. I am not shocked by this and I wont be surprised when it happens again. Our government does not care about its veterans. They put on the appearance of caring by giving speeches once a year on Veteran's Day and going to Walter Reed for their annual snapshot. The VA is a ****ing joke whose purpose is to drag along the healing process as long as possible to show that it needs additional funds.
