    Question answered......

I was told my SS card need to match my drivers licence. No acronyms but the exact way. He said we will go to the SS office and take care of it. Is this normal?

Birth Cert, SS Card, and your form of a Govt. issued ID ALL NEED to match.

Yup. I had to do it to mine. All of you official forms of ID have to match.

Mine was all ****ed up when I enlisted. My Birth certificate had my mother maiden and my fathers last name both, my SS just had my mothers maiden, my DL had my fathers last name, and everything else had my step dads last name. It was fun.

Mine must have matched already, because it did not come up.

Did have an issue with somebody else using my social security number. Fortunately I started the enlistment process immediately after high school and the next available slot at bootcamp was in august. So that gave the Social Security office a couple months to sort it out.

Took about 40 min. at the SS office and is good to go now.
