    PMC Question

A friend of mine is about to hit the end of his contract. He is curious about Private Military Companies and wondering what the hiring process is like. He's not a member of this community and I know that there are a lot of people here who might know something about it so I might as well give it a shot.

    Anyone?

    Thanks guys! Much appreciated!
For a combat soldier, the difference between success and failure is your ability to adapt to your enemy. The people that we deal with, they don't care about the rules. All they care about is a result. My job is to stop them from completing their objective, at all costs.

Have your friend contact me, I will answer what I can. Good time to get in the game, especially for those just getting out.

Does your friend have a security clearance? A lot of PMC's will want that. What was his MOS? How long did he serve? Also, where is he currently stationed and is he willing to relocate? These are some things that will matter to a hiring PMC's HR. Find these things out from him. Then, is he willing to go overseas? A lot of PMC's have contracts in areas that are forward deployed because of OPTEMPO. If he's not willing to travel abroad, he may want to look into security consulting and not PMC/security contracting. --1911ShooterPhil
