    How many are here?

    Just curious how many Marines we've got in the 29 palms area?

    Also how many ride? (doesn't have to be Harley )

    I got a couple of close buddies that I ride with now, but I'm always looking for more.

I should be getting a rifle or 2 of mine out here soon. Not sure if Im gonna get my 308 out here thought cayse I have no loading equipment to load ammo with. I shoot Tactical Rifle matches and NRA High Power as well as Rimfire Tactical.

                I just sold my R6 about 3 weeks ago, but probably still have the ability to get my hands on a sportbike if you feel like draggin a knee sometime Tom. I'm currently doing the cruiser thing. Got the mistress and wife in the garage right now.

                McLaren, MCCES has one "S" and between us there is no policy official school policy against motorcycles. HIGHLY discouraged, but nothing in writting saying you can't. Are you entry level or career progression?

                        It was quite a few years ago for me now. It gets better, you just have to stick it out.

                          Question, LeatherNuts; why did you add the 'Doesn't have to be a Harley' comment on your OP?

                          Actually, one of these used from your local Craigslist would provide you with a lot more options if you wanted to ride in SoCal. Get some good Dual Sport tires and get do some OHV / dirt riding in in the desert. Get some saddle-bags and take a camp trip, throw on some street slicks and tear up Palomar Mtn no problem. Get some good saddle time and show the squiddies how its done. Its not about how much HP you have, anyone can do 150mph in a straight away, taking that 25mph curve at twice the suggested speed; then your talkin skill. Plus, you never have to worry about washing it, parts are hella cheap, ubber reliable, and maintenance is retarded easy.

                            Ive had bikes and can ride fairly well. I want a GSXR600 though. I like the twisties and handling. Speed is great but nothing without control and precision. When I had a sports car, I did autocross not drag for that very reason.

                              @Gillafunk,

                              Wanted to make it known that I was looking for anyone to ride with. Alot of "if you ain't Harley you ain't *****" sentiment in this area, and thats not at all what I'm about. I have my own veiws about Harley riders, but I'll stop short of causing a riot and keep my opinions to myself.
