I hate the **** cap and I think the beret looks way sharper in dress uniforms. Let the Rangers keep the tan beret and everyone else keep the black beret. If you think the beret looks dumb you should have seen how we all looked in that retarded **** cap.

What would really, really make me happy is the authorization to wear the boonie cap in the field.

LOL the Army doesn't have a lock on idiotic head gear. Take a look at the white hat the sailors have to wear. I was never a fan of the beret, to French.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

nah, multicam isn't the end all either. We need uniforms for different environments. They Army is actually looking to go from one uniform for everything to three different ones for woodland, arid, and "transitional" along with one camo pattern (or solid color) for gear that works with all of them like khaki or OD.

They finally figured it out. That is the best idea I've heard from the Army on uniforms in a long time. Like you said, there should be a uniform to match the different environments, including snow.

Hey Doc, I'm looking at Army Directive 2011-11 right now, the Patrol cap is your primary headgear for the duty Uniform, the Beret will be retained and worn with dress Uniforms. The Beret can also be worn with the duty Uniform for dog and pony shows. There is no mention of the... other cap...
