Yup, TRX is pretty good when you can't get MWR gyms. I know some Marines who've been doing P90X or Insanity, I might jump on one of those since I just finished running my PFT and don't have to "stay fresh" for a training event anymore.Comment

Insanity is a great workout...but it gets a little boring and repetitive. I've been doing the UFC Personal Trainer on Xbox 360 w/ Kinect. It's not as high impact as those workouts, but the variety is unending and no workout is the same. Plus, you get to punch and kick which is cool. Great workouts.Comment

I prefer p90x for home and cross fit if funds permit. I get bored really fast and am going to start 10 min trainer soon for upkeepComment

Decently enough, yes. Of course you have the ability to slow yourself down but if you stay motivated and work it hard you can keep it up.Comment

Im halfway through a round of P90X and have done two of the insanity workouts. Both are hard, but they are pretty different.
P90X is lots of str training, weights, pullups, pushups, abs, yoga, and a couple cardio routines.
Insanity is insane cardio. Insane. I have seen that some people do the hybrid with Insanity replacing the P90X cardio days. Sounds great if you can keep up.
One caution. Insanity is probably better for weight loss type stuff, but you have to be in much better shape to start it. Its really hard on your knees if you are a bigger guy. I will probably give insanity a shot, but not until I do P90X complete and also cut some more weight.
Its a tough schedule to stick to since its about 1hr 10 mins a day 6 days a week for 3 months. Good results though.Comment

Wife and I did P90x and Insanity...I liked insanity a bit better because it doesn't need weights but it was tougher for me (maybe because of my height?). Wife is starting back through P90X. They are both good workouts.Looking for photos for your wall?

I've done Insanity and my results were awesome....but one thing that hindered my workout was that some of the exercises hurt my knee, so I stopped at day 74. I'm going to start it again in the winter, but this time alternate the jump-intensive workouts with something else.
My results at Day 74 from Day 1 showed a decrease of 12 pounds and noticeable shoulder and abdominal physique compared to Day 1 (which was all flab).
Definitely recommend it, you can also do it over and over again and it'll never get old. It's kinda like Marine Corps boot camp IT..never got old lol.
I tried it once and it kicked my ***. It's a GREAT workout though, and if you have the money for it, it's definitely worth membership. The one I went to costed $150 a month, but it's similar to having your own personal trainer every time you go, and they genuinely care about your progress as well.
I only did the intro, which is free, so if you wanna get a feel for it, most Xfit gyms have a free first-time pass you can take up.sigpicComment

We do alot of Insanity, P90x and Cross Fit. Yesterday we did some "Turbo Kick" it was a pretty good work out even tho we had female civilians teach it to us hahah
Insanity is just a intense smoke session, but works you out good and you get cardio out of it. I think the Army should move to that type of stuff instead of this PRT Garbage (minus the crossfit part)Comment
