    Enlistment disqualification question.

Im currently doing all my paperwork for enlistment into the army. A question came up if i have ever worn arch supports. I do wear orthotics and when i told my recruiter he said that it might be a disquailfying factor. Has anyone heard of this or gone through this? Is there something i can do to help the situation? And feed back would help. Thanks.

Nope, Army will even make you two sets. If you have fallen arches or very high arches are the only issues I can think of that might be questionable.

I've heard of this before, what's the problem with flat feet?

You're a duck. Ducks aren't allowed in the Army, they have to join the Navy or Marines.

Well I don't have flat feet. I had them made for arch support.

You should be fine, either way you can get a waiver for almost anything it seems.

I would imagine it would also depend on the MOS you want.

                Now I'm confused even further.
