    Air Force/ AF Reserve Recruiter?

I have a few questions and the recruiter I was talking with has since moved, so I am wondering if any of you fine gentlemen may be/know a recruiter?

I basically want to see what the likely hood of getting a OTS slot is these days? Both in the Reserves and Active Duty...

Also what type of AFSC's are available? as well as the likely hood of getting a 'Full time job' in the Reserves?

and is there any such thing as a bonus these day's? im kind of guessing not.

and an FYI, the nearest base to me is March...

    Thanks all.

A bonus can be available but you have to fill a job no one wants or not enough qualified people apply to , have aquired civilian skills or education. Have you taken your ASVAB yet? That ultimately determines what you qualify for upon entry
    WTB:
    1)AR15 Aero Precision Skeletonized Lower
    2)S&W 686 6in barrel ...686 No dash through 686-4
    3) Saltworks M5 upper/lower set

I know all the basics, I'm pilot qualified from the AFOQT, and I scored high enough on the asvab that the only thing I can't do is be a nuke...

So are you trying to get a flight contract?

I wish!!! but since those are extremely super doooper super hard, I have come back to reality and set my sights on SF, Acquisition's, or Maintenance... As an officer those will be the main three areas to have Airmen under me...

and even though i'm PQ'ed it doesn't really mean much with how competitive todays AF is...

See what they have in Comm or Intel. Those are the fastest growing career fields in the AF and AFR. Getting an ART or AGR slot (fulltime) in the reserves is a PIA applying from the outside. It would be easier to join the traditional reserves first, and apply from within. That being said, if you really had the choice, go AD first. Then if you aren't feeling it, transition into the Active Reserves or Guard.

Well last year ROTC had 4-8 (cant remember exactly) Cadets get 'Intel' Slots... I wouldn't consider that to fast growing lol, but yeah Comm interests me and has a very very high ease of transition into the private world, along with other paper pusher jobs..

If you can't get a commission straight away; enlist in the reserves and when the chance arises submit under the "Deserving Airman" program - road to a commission, but not with the current squadron you would be assigned to.

Does anyone have any 'real world' experience with this? I have some questions.

You need to contact them and find a recruiter that will work with you. Some are better than others.
