Hey all, I leave monday for Ft. Benning for OSUT. Well I have to report in on monday I guess and ship out early tuesday. I know alot of guys here have enlisted recently... anyone else going to be shippin same time? haha wish me luck.

Just remember - all of the guys at your unit are going to totally want to hear about all the stuff your drill sergeant told you, especially if they tell you to do things differently. And really, everyone will be impressed that you went to the "hardest company on Sand Hill" and not "candyland".

Have fun, do what they say, don't stand out too much, and don't get recycled.

hahahah man i hate those. i was being attacked showering dident help either. a week later i was back in cali and found a wierd mole on my shin. picked at it for 10 mins, and it was a live chigger that was feeding under my skin. make sure you buy some superglue. lol

Dont over analyze. You will be told to do things in a certain amount of time that are nearly impossible and when you fail you will get smoked. It is all a mind game.

There is going to be a lot of guys who think they know what they are doing. They do not.

It is called basic training for a reason. When you get to your unit you will learn how to do things they way you are supposed to.

If you really want to piss of your team leader or squad leader tell him " Well in basic we did it this way".

Drink water

utilize this time to get in good shape if you are not.

When you are done you will be part of a long history of bad asses.

Oh and stop saying hooah when you are done with OSUT.
