    My Son was Born Today

I was out on a mission today (Christmas) and about an hour before we got back to the FOB my Squadron Commander said my name and then told me that I have a son now. He got a FIPR with a Red Cross message for me. Carson born 12:19a on December 25th..7.1 lbs 19inches long. Everything went well and my wife and son are in the hospital in Hawaii for the next day or two.

I never thought I would be in a Stryker in Iraq on Christmas when I found out that my son was born.

Did anyone else have anything cool happen on Christmas this year?

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Nope, I have had some great Christmas gifts over the last 57 years, never, never that good. Congratulations Dad. Be safe over there.
One thing though, please promise everyone on calguns that you will never give him a fruitcake with candles for a birthday cake, lol.
