    Full body scan

I'm due to retire soon, and I have seen so many people find illnesses after retirement that should have been reported, So I'm tempted to do this about $7-800.
Has anyone done this that you know of what are the in's and outs?

i do realize if I find something(hopefully nothing) that I will have to go in and complain or just flat out tell them hey check this.

With scans, you don't know what it is. They could find some stuff and tell you they could be tumors, and you'll find out it was only a hemangioma after worrying yourself sick. I'd stick with a full physical including blood work and/or colonscopy. Whatever your regular doc recommends.

If you were to get a scan, there is always the unlikely possibility of finding an assortment of foreign masses growing where they should not be; lungs, brain, gi tract, organs....if I was worried I would insist on a full CT at your exit physical stating concern over exposure to radio/satellite irradiation, smoke/oil fire inhalation.... These are all commonly encountered by military troops and have been linked to cancer...Plus this way, uncle sam pays for the scan..not you. thanks for your service and enjoy your new life.

Thank your neighbor and fellow gun owners for passing Prop 63. For that gun control is a winning legislative agenda.

To my knowledge blood work should be able to find most common things out there, check your prostate and colon and you should be square. I would do a full body only if you "feel" something is wrong... Loss of weight, low energy, blood where it shouldn't be... tenderness somewhere that it shouldn't be...

that sorta stuff, but if your a worrier get it done for the piece of mind!
