I'm healthy as an ox, I've never had a symptom in my life, I think if something was to happen it would have already done so, I've been in the ****, its not like this is something new to me, I've been a hard charger for over a decade now. I have 1s all across my phules, ever one of my PHAs are clean as can be, other than the typical minor aches and pains, nothing that even warrants advil or anything. I pass PT tests with no problem. There simply is no risk of me dropping from a heart attack, maybe in 20 years but not now or any time soon.

MRX: How many of those 2nd LTs are 13 series? and of those, how many have experience with the Forward Observer tasks? Heres the deal, I could get through OCS, BOLC, and JFO school in time to MOB with the rest of the unit and have the 13F enlisted experience that I'm guessing probably none of those other LTs have.

I don't have specific numbers for you, but I know that there are quite a few OCS officers who commissioned FA recently in anticipation of an upcoming deployment.

It also might be worth getting in contact with your Battalion Commander and keep him in the loop regarding your plans. He will have the influence that might make the difference for you. He also has the ability to keep a line/para number open for you.

Another route would be to get your commissioning physical done at MEPS. This is what I ended up doing since it was, by far, the closest facility able to give an Army-standard physical. The LA MEPS is commanded by a guard officer and OCS graduate. But beware of all the hoops you have to jump through (just like when you enlisted), as they WILL dq you for stupid things.

In the meantime, I would keep positive and hope for a clean commissioning physical. There should be legitimate deployment opportunities for at least the next several years.
