buying a HARLEY when DEPLOY

I will be getting deploy in next october 2010, but I'm wondering if anyone has bought a Harley Daviddson when there overseas.

I been told that they give you a good deal that is below the msrp. and how much of a percent will be.

Oh ya... A lot of my buddies have t-shirts from a Harley dealership in Kuwait.


To the OP, the problem you're going to have, in addition to shipping it home, will be getting it titled/tagged in California.
Without being a California model, it must have 7500 miles on it before it can be imported.

Harley was having a "deal" going on when I was in Diego Garcia a few years back. If memory serves me correct you bought it overseas but it was sent to the nearest dealer near your home port. So the paperwork was done out of country but the actual vehicle was stateside.

You can save, I saved about 1,000. Harley has a deal set up with AFFES. You buy there and take delivery in the US at a Harley dealer of your choice (as long it on the list). They also give you deals on accessories. Sad to say the all of auto/motorcycle sales locations in Afghanistan has been closed as of May 2010. I hope that thing change in the future

HK-p2000, they have the same deal here in Bahrain. I'm considering an Iron 883 after i'm done over here. You obviously wont be in Bahrain but If you want, i'll look into it for you and can forward you ithe information. Any specific model you want me to get info for?

AAFES has outlets just about everywhere overseas that you can buy Harley, Ford, Chrysler and Chevrolet products. I think you have to be on orders for at least 90 days, not sure though. You can order exactly what you want from the models they have available, and the pricing is pretty good. You choose the delivery dealer back home and pay taxes and dealer charges when you pick it up - so don't forget to factor that in. It's basically like ordering at the dealer except you'll probably get a little bit better deal.
