How does it work when you are stationed in CA?

I'm stationed at Camp Pendleton but am a WA resident for home of record.

Does this affect what guns I am allowed to have/own due to only being stationed here?

no hicaps, no AW's without AW permit from the state (search for the many threads on it). I dont remember too much else, no full auto or surpressors, and be ready to give a thumbprint for ammo.

On the plus side, you are exempt from the handgun safety cert if you buy a handgun.

You can register AW in cali due to a military excemption, but if you get out and stay in cali you need to remove them from the state. You need to register them prior to bringing them into cali.
