When we were coming back from Iraq and stopped in Shannon, Ireland, our company commander wouldn't let anyone buy any good Irish whiskey, even to have shipped home, because he was afraid of GO1.
We were only allowed one beer, needless to say everyone broke the rule, I was the only true American getting wasted on pints of Miller, the Guinness tap never stopped.

As for shipping the booze, it will be hell if he gets caught, having said that the way I had it sent to me a couple times was since our nco's would check our boxes for contraband I had my mom put the booze in flat tupperware (yes she asked me to bring them back) and make false bottom boxes, basically get the booze to cover the surface of the bottom of a box and cut out another piece of cardboard the size of the box and glue in the new bottom and fill the box with whatever you send him usually (btw bouncy balls were a big hit in Iraq), tall boxes work great, also a friend had his dad buy that brown looking mouth wash, put whiskey in it and re glues the plastic seal on the cap.

What base is he at btw?

I agree if he gets caught he'll get screwed. However, I drank the whole time I was in country.....Jack Daniels is the exact same color as Listerine if ya get my drift........I used to get 2 shipments of "Listerine" a month while I was over there, dump it out, rinse it well and fill her back up. My connection in "the world" would vacuum pack the "listerine" to prevent smelly leaks!!

Like everything else they are gonna drink over there, yeah yeah the General Orders......they also said no sex or porn in country!! LOL

I'm not condoning bad behavior, but there was nothing like a little "listerine" and coke after a patrol went sideways

Truth right here. No one ever bothered us or anyone for that, but the ones that drink all the time are the guys that get in trouble.

Dont ship that **** crazy. You'll have to fill out a customs decleration, and it will be x rayed and checked. If it makes it through and he's caught....he's done.

Outstanding! I hope he has an uneventful last 3 weeks. And almost equally as important, enjoy that Jager together!

I can't believe they still enforce that crap.

Back in the day I know someone *cough* who sent a couple hundered porn DVD's over keep up the troops morale....

Apparently they won't even let you keep naked photos of your wife.

I can't imagine a CO actually enforcing that though.... seems like a good way to catch some blue on blue... horny + frustrated + high explosives = trouble

They all have laptops with extra batteries, external hard drives loaded with porn, they even adapted there chargers to hook right onto the electrical systems in there mraps. They've got it pretty easy for being in country they're just thirsty and not for water.

I found your pic with a couple of the good-spirited locals helping out:
