    USMC OCS and OCC-R

I'm considering going to OCS for the USMC. I just turned 25 this month, but feel I might be getting a little bit old. I also like the OCC-R option. Anyone here ever go through OCC-R?

You are NOT too old. I'm not a Jarhead, I'm a Dogface, but still, the officer ranks need people with experience and maturity.

You are only 2-3 years older than the typical college graduate. If serving is your goal go ahead & apply.

Your ripe for the officer ranks. It always burned me when a new O showed up with no experience in life and tried to make decisions for us. What was even worse was when he refused to listen to his troops and relied on other O

Opps... relied other OS instead of listening to the ones who have experience doing it.

I have met very few officers who can and will get their hands dirty. They get respect for what's on the collar and not as a person.

You're definitely not too old for OCS. Last I remembered, the cutoff age was 32?? I had more than a few guys in my class that were in their late 20s. No issue there, although I'd plan on being 26 by the time you actually get to Q-town.

And I am sure you can get a waiver for being over 32 to a certain degree?
