Recommend a 123 volt battery for deployed son

Which is the best battery for my sons' Surefire and issued laser pointer (which is mounted on his M249 SAW). Duracell/Engerizer $10+ for 2 @ Walmart/Target. Streamlight brand only found online. Or of course Surefire about $20 for 12 batteries. I want to stay away from the no name brands. Thanks to all

Try E-bay. Some time ago I found Panasonic's for .35 cents if you bought 50.I bought them and split them with a friend. That was a great buy. They are just as good as Surefire and they were alot cheaper. Stay away from the ones made in China. They have been known to overheat and leak. Also try batterystation.com. Their batteries are made in the US.Good luck in your quest and I thank your son for his service.

+1 to batteryjunction. I get the panasonic ones from there because they're cheap and they work ok. Surefires last the longest but are also the priciest. He can probably get them down there for a lot cheaper at the PX. You should also think about getting him a LED bulb (unless he's using a hellfighter) for his surefire if you find out the model. They more than double the life of your batteries and save you money in the long run.

batteryjunction absolutely the best prices and last the longest.

batteryjunction (blue label) brand is good. use them all the time. or get the reces pieces brand (orange/brown...). sanyo is good too. I think you can get the battery junction stuff from ebay too

go to candlepowerforums and read the reviews

                          Surefire surefire surfire.
Surefire is made under the tightest specs for the batteries. On ranges, I've seen chinese batteries blow out the bulb and lense of a G2 and turn it into a 2 foot flame thrower. I've bought all sorts of other brands including blackhawk (doesnt even fit right into the flashlight) and I've used the green GI issued ones that come in individual plastic sealed baggies that were dead from just sitting in storage. Surefire is guaranteed 10 year shelf life.
You CANNOT go wrong with surefire
