    I miss it!

Hey guys, my name is Bao. I'm a new member here and I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I was in the USMC from 2002-2006 active duty and got out to go back to college, party, nasty civilian stuff, etc. Now that I'm about to be finish with my Bachelor degree I'm thinking about going back in as an officer. My family and friends are begging me not to but I have this big urge to get back out there. I would never thought that I would consider going back in, but I miss it. I miss being a Marine. Those damn commercials still get me everytime and this is not an impulse thing. It's been on my mind ever since I left active duty, and I know the nitty, gritty, real side of the military. I just cant fathom just getting a 9-5 job and be happy with it. I got accepted into some decent MBA programs, but haven't decided on it yet. What would you do? OCS, MBA program, or a J.O.B?

What is you Degree in? Mind you that these days a Bachelor's not enough to get a good job. Now I do happen to know that the Marines are short of Junior Officers. You could always do what a friend of mine did. Go JAG after your days of Glory and Adventure are over. Just pick up a little Law School while ducking bullets and kicking in doors.

You're the only one who can make that decision. Follow your heart.

If you want to, you can do all three of those options at the same time. OCC-R.

+1. I know so many people that graduated in the class of '09 and they still haven't started working. Glad I got out the year before. I can only imagine how bad it's going to be for the class of '10.

I think it would be hard for me personally to go as an officer, knowing that there's so much damn paperwork and only so much training/action

but it's also a bit more cushy when everyone else has to do sh***y work too. It's your choice man...
