    National Guard questions.

Where can I find what units there are in my area? Also can you only get a MOS that is needed in your area? I'm not sure on how this works or does there have to be a unit in your area for that MOS? I'm mostly interested in 19D,21B, and 31B.

I'm sure one of our Calguns National Guard Members will help you out, but I believe they are all in Iraq, Afganistan, or Haiti at this moment. Stay tunned someone will post.

The National Guards website has a map with the units in your area, it also has the MOS's that need to be filled listed with a description of the job.

Where you go depends on what you quailfy for and how far you are willing to drive to get what you want. I'm Air National Guard and some people in my unit drive 6 hours to get to the base for our UTA weekends. If you want to find out what units are in your area call the local recuiting office or....

1800goguard.com has a map feature where you put in your location and it will show you units in a 100 mile radius.

              Where are you located?

Do the NG MP's even patrol base anymore? Or is it all contracted to Civie PD or SD?

Go talk with a recruiter and they'll get you squared away.
